Love is a Battlefield
Kristy has just returned to her job as a park ranger at Shiloh National Park after being left at the altar. When she reports back to work she finds her job has been given to someone else. Ace Kennedy, who has taken her job, gets off on the wrong foot with spunky Kristy, who has a hard time liking the guy who has taken her place. As they work together Ace is shocked to learn that Kristy no longer believes in true love. As the story progresses he tries to show her true love is happening between them, but when she learns he is keeping secrets she shuts down on giving her heart to another. I enjoyed getting to know Kristy. Her feelings on love were easy to understand. I also enjoyed Ace and the way he drew her out and got her talking about herself and her feelings. I especially liked how this story ended and the things Kristy had to do before she could truly be free from some of her past hurts. The ending of the book put a smile on my face - great job Ace on your "dedication"! Looking forward to reading more in this series!
